Day 28 still. Writing chapter 33 of 40 Patches

It took me until about 5pm to start stenoing chapter 32 about Tellaro in Italy, but then I was on a roll so kept going with chapter 33, which I decided would be about pineapples, specifically a boot full of pineapples pretty much thrown into the back of the vehicle I was sitting in with four others in Ghana.  I have a photo of the pineapple sea, which made my co-boot-passenger, John and I hysterical with laughter.  That was on a trip to Ghana for the 50th anniversary of independence with my friend Nana and three other of her friends.  From then on, pineapples have made me smile or laugh at the memory and it made me a self-styled pineapple aficionado who will only entertain the idea of eating a pineapple that smells of pineapple, which is quite sad as it means I only really get to eat pineapples from countries that grow them.

I have re-read the above and I sound a bit of a pretentious prat, but pineapples do to this day make me smile and it’s nice to have a reminder of a surreal, fun and extraordinary week in Ghana as a VIP.

The photo with this is of dinner ingredients, a distraction between stenoing and writing this very substandard post.
