Day 27. Writing chapter 31 of 40 Patches

It’s 2.49pm, I’ve had the morning off thinking about writing.  I am now hoping to surprise myself with an unusual burst of afternoon activity ahead of a hoped-for trip to the cinema in the early evening.  You never know, I seem to work well with small windows of opportunity for greatness.

The photo today is from the church where my dad is buried, a pretty part-Norman church at the bottom of the Pilgrim’s Way.

Today’s chapter marks the beginning of the final quarter of my memoir, my 30s.  I am still undecided about when/with what I will start the decade.

It is now 5.17 pm so it took a fair while to get going but chapter 31 is stenoed and it was a lovely nostalgia fest for me as it was about my chiminea and very, very happy, fun times spent sitting around while food cooked slowly in the chiminea, often after a digging session at the allotment in the months it took to clear it and make it usable.
